The Benson Lions Club plays a major role during Benson Mule Days, focusing heavily on food service and supporting the festival’s largest events. 

This years 77th Annual Mule Days event will be held September 24-27. It is one of the largest and most unique festivals in North Carolina and includes live music, rodeos, mule pulling competitions, parades, food and plenty more!

The Benson Lions Club main activities include:

• The Rodeo Food Stand: The Lions Club operates a major food and concession stand during the professional SRA Rodeos on Friday and Saturday nights at the Chamber Park Arena. 
• “Bullshot for the Pot” Fundraiser: They traditionally run community fundraisers like their “Bullshot for the Pot” contest to raise money for local charity initiatives, eye exams, and eyeglasses. 
• Parade Support: Members of the club frequently volunteer as parade marshals or coordinators to help organize and direct the massive Saturday morning parade down Main Street.
